MET and MOMA museums, and V&A museum, in New York and London respectively, are in the world’s top, and dedicate whole sections to the study of the history of fashion. MET recently launched an exhibition called Fashion and Virtue: Textile Patterns and the Print Revolution, 1520-1620, about ancient textile motives from Leonardo da Vinci, later interpreted again by Albrecht Dürer, unleashing the serial production of them, and international book trades on this topic.
